Since my sister Mindy is due with a girl the day before me, I made her one too, but made it simpler:
Some of you may be thinking that those colors are pretty girlie for a man's shirt. Honestly, I never even thought it was odd that my dad had shirts in those colors, since I was used to it. I guess that proves he was man enough to wear whatever he wanted!
Now I'm feeling a little guilty that I never made a quilt for Josh--not that he doesn't have plenty. One of these days I'll make him one out of some of the other shirts I have stashed away.
I've taken quite a few more pictures of my pregnant self this time around, because now I wish I had taken more when I was pregnant with Josh.
Here is a picture of me taken 1/18/09:
And here is an updated picture of me taken last night sporting my big belly and sweet farmer tan:

That's a really sweet way to make sure that your Dad is always with you and your new little one. I think it's a great idea and I may have to do that with some of my Dad's old shirts (even though he's still here). You're so nice to make one for your sister too.
You are so crafty! They look beautiful. That will be so neat for your and your sister's little girls to have something so special from both their grandpa and you. I love it!
14 days, you're almost there. Yeah! The tantrum stage for Josh is very normal. I can't wait until Emilee stops. With the new baby it might get worse for awhile but hopefully not.
Those are the most beautiful quilt. You did a fabulous job. I agree that it is the perfect momento to your dad.
I am so amazed! That was an awesome idea to use your dads shirts. I love that! You did such a great job. I cant wait to see pictures of that little girl! Let us know!
What beautiful quilts! And, they'll be so special for the babies to have to remember Grandpa. That was such a great idea. You're so cute pregnant--I'll be excited for you to have your little bundle of joy. Girls are so much fun!
Your quilts are beautiful!
