(I had a long post written with LOTS of pictures about Jason's first six months of life, but then I decided it was too long. So, I'm breaking it up into 3 posts. Here are Jason's measurements at 2 months, as well as pictures from his first 2 months. All the things I wrote down that I want to remember about him will remain in the 6 month post.)
2 Months
- Weight: 14lbs., 4 oz. (95%)
- Height: 24.25” (75%)
- Head circumference: 16” (75%)
9/17/11: Meeting Grandma & Grandpa Orr for the first time.
9/19/11: Posing with Grandma Flake before she leaves us.
9/19/11: Jason’s first bath.
9/23/11: He wiggled his skinny arm right out of his pj’s
9/23/11: So tiny (and yellow) vs. 10/8/11: Yellowness is finally going away
10/2/11: Josh and Mary love their little brother
10/11/11: Nap time with Daddy
10/12/11: Jason’s original due date. I was sure glad that month was already behind me! :)
10/14/11: Jason’s favorite past time—eating! (Notice the spit up spot on my pants.)
10/14/11: I have lots of pictures like this. Pretty much every time I would try to take a picture of Jason, Josh and Mary wanted in on the action.
10/28/11: He’s chunking up nicely!
11/5/11: So cute in the Bumbo (and with slobber/spit up all over his shirt). He didn’t get a ton of use out of the Bumbo. We finally put it away a few weeks ago because his legs were too chubby to fit in it anymore.
11/6/11: Our little family before heading to church for Jason’s blessing.
11/9/11: The chubs are making their way down to the knee now.
11/19/11: Technically not before Jason was two months old, but I forgot to take any pictures of just Jason in his blessing outfit on his blessing day, so I put it on him again. It’s a good thing I didn’t wait any longer, because I could barely fit him in it!
As with my other two kids, those first two months are always hard with recovering from a c-section, running on very little sleep, feeling like you're feeding (or in my case, pumping and feeding) ALL the time, helping siblings adjust to a new baby, etc. Even through all those hard things, somehow the time seems to fly by anyway! I'm so grateful for a healthy, happy, handsome boy!
